Our Skin Boosters course provides a solid foundation for specific brands of skin boosters. Depending on the electives you choose will determine what competencies you gain from the course. Injection protocols vary from brand to brand; some combine the usage of a cannula others are needle only.

Nearing 5 years in aesthetic medicine Lynn has performed thousands of procedures and is our lead dermal filler, PRP, and skin booster trainer. A qualified teacher and RGN, Lynn has a passion for aesthetic medicine and teaching and is as much a student as a teacher with constantly building her knowledge and skills. “Delivering an aesthetic outcome a client is happy with means having many tools in your bag. Skin boosters continue the direction of the aesthetic industry of regenerative skin health. As this sector continues to mature we do see and will continue to see dermal filler used in fewer procedures and usage in more specific applications for example liquid rhinoplasty. Combining procedures like PDO threads or Silhouette Soft with skin booster technology provides the patient with a more natural aesthetic outcome.
Regenerative skin health sets out to use the bodies natural ability to regenerate with a little boost to help things along. One of the very interesting developments in the industry is when AbbVie typically a medically focussed pharmaceutical company bought Allergan for €53 billion, which is a lot of zeros. With a strong cellular level research branch it sets the course of regenerative skin health onto a very interesting path. The results that skin boosters provide are at a level where patients come back time after time. We all know that patients that do not gain the expected aesthetic outcome do not return for the same therapy.
All procedures and products set out to:
Reduce skin laxity – Environmental factors that contribute to skin laxity include ageing, genetics, stress, sun exposure, weight fluctuations, and smoking which reduce the collagen and elastin in our skin.
Increase skin elasticity – Skin elasticity is the skin’s ability to stretch and return to its original shape. Loss of skin elasticity is known as elastosis. Elastosis causes the skin to look saggy, crinkled, or leathery. Areas of the skin exposed to the sun can get solar elastosis.
Restore volume – As we age and lose collagen and elastin, the skin starts to sag, a hollowing out of facial areas begins as we lose volume from the facial fat pads. Injectable collagen stimulators aid in the restoring of facial volume loss and are often incorporated with traditional dermal filler.
Skin tightening – Through complementary therapy such as combining micro-needling, PRP, and traditional injectables, a more youthful appearance can be achieved with immediately visible results in many cases.
Collagen production – Collagen is such a central building block of the body, contained in bones, skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Collagen is also found in many other body parts, including blood vessels, corneas, and teeth. The word’s etymology is Greek, “kólla,” which very aptly means “glue” there are at least 16 types of collagen in the body; we concern ourselves with the four main types, type I, II, III, and IV.
Transdermal therapy
Regeneration is the end goal of transdermal therapy, making the body better at its job as we age. One of the newer buzz words to the surface is ‘3D biomodelling’ due to the overall inside out rejuvenation that tissue stimulators provide through transdermal therapy.

The face, neck, décolletage, chest, hands, arms, knees and feet can all be treated. Combining treatments allows the practitioner to design custom treatment pathways to achieve individual tailored results.
The role of hyaluronic acid is to help bind moisture in the skin and help produce collagen and elastin. As we age, our bodies produce less and less hyaluronic acid; volume is lost from the fat pads, interconnecting tissues lose strength. The lack of hyaluronic acid production leads to a lack of skin hydration and skin laxity, leading to the formation of wrinkles in the skin.
Skin boosters contain a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, also depending on the brand cocktails of amino acids and peptides. Skin boosters tend to have the consistency of a gel-like substance, which enables them to be distributed very smoothly and evenly throughout the skin.
The purpose of the skin booster is to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin through the release of hyaluronic acid and other compounds specific to each skin booster brand. That is essentially what makes skin boosters different to many other skin treatments. The purpose of skin boosters is not to cover up or hide skin imperfections. All regenerative skin health treatments can remedy these imperfections by stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin.

There are 11 core modules delivered through online learning that have to be completed before booking practical training Delegates that have already completed a course with us do not have to repeat the common themes theory modules.
As a single skin booster brand, the training is €850 – For a bundle of three brands, the course fee is €1995
Sorry due to insurance protocols and the problem of beauty therapy being an unregulated qualification, we are unable to facilitate training for beauty therapists or nonmedical professionals. We delegate a medical professional as an NMBI registered nurse or midwife, IMC registered doctors, and dental council of Ireland dentists. International delegates are welcome and will also have to verify qualifications and current membership to a medical board.
No, we provide all models for the practical component of the course. If you do wish to bring along a model, please let us know at the time of enrolment.
Nurses and doctors can attend this course. We only accept NMBI registered nurses, IMC & Dental Council Ireland, doctors with current valid registration.
Yes, the course is structured with the delivery of theory of approximately 30 hours through our virtual learning environment. In addition, the practical days see you observing injectable treatment plus hands-on administering of skin boosters. All our courses have a strong focus on practical skills.
No, our insurance covers you on the practical treatment days. Once you have qualified you will, of course, need to update your insurance to cover the new treatments.
