The ITEC Level 4 Diploma in Laser & Light Treatments

ATAI provides a completely different training model to any other provider in Ireland. Case studies are performed in combination with pre-screened models and using the correct treatment protocols and technology for each case study, this includes Laser & IPL platforms. This is unique in Ireland and provides the learner with much-needed hands-on experience that theory alone cannot provide. We deliver the Laser Core of Knowledge (CoK) course, underpinning the ITEC course. The Core of Knowledge represents a body of knowledge that underpins the safe use of lasers in clinical practice. It is intended to be undertaken by all staff using a laser (class 3 and 4) and non‐laser (IPL and LED) light sources in a range of applications, including medical, surgical, dental and aesthetic practices.
The course combines all the ITEC Level 4 Laser & Light Certificates into one comprehensive diploma course. Covering, laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, vascular therapy and specific skin complaint treatments.
Delivered in a long course format of 10 classes with practical case studies and shadowing a practitioner. Perfect for people wanting experience in a broad range of treatments.

Practical learning is fundamental to ATAI courses. An emphasis is placed on real-world case studies using the right technology and treatment protocols. Learners achieve a better understanding of treatment as we use Laser & IPL based platforms. Shadowing in the clinical environment allows learners to understand better why and how treatment and consultation skills are fundamental to Laser & Light-based therapies.

The course is run on Mondays from 10-am to 3-pm over 10 weeks at our Swords location.
